Whangaparāoa Peninsula & Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana

A growing independent visual record of cetacean and marine wildlife sightings documented from the Whangaparāoa Peninsula and surrounding waters.

Created by local photographer and filmmaker Tom Morales, the archive records opportunistic sightings through photography and video, with supporting observational data including location, date, time, behaviour and direction of travel.

Selected research-quality footage and original files are available to conservation organisations and researchers upon request.
